Thinking of those male models for Abercrobie or A.E.
I watch myself in the mirror
Trying so hard to shape my body like their's
But nothing seems to work

I hold my hands behind my head
Showing my tidbit of body hair
But nothing seems to work

I flex my not-so-great biceps
Making sure that my face matches the pose
But nothing seems to work

I give up
While trying to hold back my not-so-manly tears
But nothing seems to work

I look down
Wishing they would go away
Nothing seems to work...

Nothing seems to work
i actually just did this when i went to take my shower, and of course doing it inspired me to write about it.

I love your poetry hun.
Yes, it is hard, nothing seems to work for me either. Hair cut and clothing and binding can only get us so far. But if you keep working toward it, you will be happy eventually. And I hate to say 'eventually' because it implies an unknown amount of time, and that's what people have trouble with - waiting.
